Component Dynamics Achieves Industry-renowned AS9120 Accreditation

As of August 2023, we have enhanced our existing quality management system by successfully achieving accreditation to AS9210B. As an independent distributor of hard-to-find and obsolete electronic components, we consider AS9120 accreditation paramount for our growing customer base in the aviation, space, and defense industries.

This recent certification process involved identifying, assessing, and mitigating the risks associated with product distribution, supply chain management, and product traceability. Adherence to this standard assures ongoing conformity to all applicable customer, statutory, and regulatory requirements.

About AS9120

Prepared by the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG), with representatives from aviation, space, and defense companies in the Americas, Asia/Pacific and Europe, AS9120:2016/AS9120B standardizes quality management system requirements by building on internationally recognized ISO 9001:2015 quality management system requirements.

Accreditation to AS9120 provides the framework for distributors to meet stringent quality and traceability requirements to ensure the safe and reliable distribution of aerospace products. The use of AS9120 results in improved quality, cost and delivery performance through the reduction or elimination of organization-unique requirements, effective implementation of the quality management system, and wider application of good practice. This includes organizations that procure products and split them into smaller quantities, including those that coordinate a customer or regulatory controlled process on the product.
