As a purchaser we do not knowingly procure any parts containing conflict minerals from the covered countries.
Component Dynamics wholeheartedly supports and recognizes our responsibility not to support or contribute to the violence and human rights violations associated with the mining of certain materials and is fully committed to working with our customers to create a supply chain free of violence and human rights violations.
Counterfeit Prevention Policy
Component Dynamics LLC recognizes that counterfeit components pose a serious threat to the electronics industry and its end customers. Potential and active suppliers are evaluated for risk of receiving counterfeit parts using comprehensive internal procedures to ensure Counterfeit risks are mitigated and minimized. Outside sources such as GIDEP, ERAI and customer referrals shall be used in the source consideration as well. (Using AS5553 as a guide)
To verify vendor quality, Component Dynamics monitors the ongoing performance of all suppliers utilizing a variety of criteria including, but not limited to, on-time delivery and quality performance. When components cannot be obtained from traceable sources, Component Dynamics LLC will endeavor to use verified suppliers or take mitigation actions to minimize the risk of suspected or confirmed counterfeit from entering the market.
Internal verifications are completed by reviewing packaging, the physical product (including product markings) and associated documentation for signs of potential counterfeit material including:
- Manufacturer logos or labels containing miss-spelling, smudged or questionable appearance.
- Obvious signs of poor, substandard or out of control manufacturing processes such as, significant differences in identifying markings, ink smears, etc.
- Characteristic measurement results indicating questionable differences from typical product received.
- Uneven top and /or bottom coating of the part, or inconsistent texture or color between top and bottom side coating
