The Electronic Resellers Association International (ERAI) is responsible for maintaining an international network of companies that share data with one another to stop the rapid increase of counterfeit electronics. Component Dynamics has been a certified member of that network since 2021.
As an independent supplier of hard-to-find electronic products, this partnership is one of the most important that we maintain here at Component Dynamics. Our industry, and many others that we provide equipment for, understand the high value of an ERAI membership. Let’s explore why.
About ERAI
By monitoring, investigating, and reporting one of the most prominent issues across industries, ERAI is a neutral third party that has a direct impact on the electronics supply chain by uniting stakeholders.
ERAI members are in a variety of fields, including:
- Aerospace
- Contract Manufacturing
- Defense
- Distributors
- Government Agencies
- Medicine
- Nuclear
- Original Equipment Manufacturing
ERAI also allows non-members to report suspicious activity and file complaints.
ERAI Membership Process
Though not required, ERAI membership is highly regarded among electronics suppliers. Earning membership involves the following steps:
- Completing an enrollment form after at least one year in business
- Verifying business entity legitimacy
- Providing a physical address, not a PO Box, virtual office, etc.
- Collecting 10 verifiable trade references
- Resolving any complaints
- Notifying ERAI of any name, affiliation, or address changes
- Keeping an up-to-date ERAI profile
- Ensuring that employees are not named on government lists that restrict, ban, or limit trade
