ISO 9001 Certification Recognizes Commitment to Quality

Tony Reveruzzi

Component Dynamics first earned the fundamental ISO 9001 certification in February 2021, and we’ve successfully complied with annual audits since. We wanted to take a moment with this blog post to explain its significance, including what it means for our customers.

The certification process takes about six months and is completed on a three-year renewal schedule. It serves as an overall representation of our commitment to supplying the highest quality goods and valuing customer satisfaction.

Though it is not required, we understand that ISO 9001 is often sought by responsible customers who want to ensure they are working with a strong quality management system.

About ISO 9001:2015

Any business, regardless of size or industry, can achieve this International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certification. It is based on the following seven principles:

  • Customer focus. Strive to exceed customer expectations by understanding current and future needs.
  • Leadership. Foster an environment in which employees are invested in the success of each customer.
  • Engagement of people. Involve people at all levels and show respect for each.
  • Process approach. Keep procedures predictable to minimize confusion about expectations.
  • Improvement. Maintain focus on improvement so practices, and progress, are dynamic
  • Evidence-based decision making. Collect, analyze, and evaluate data to maintain competence.
  • Relationship management. Manage relationships with customers to maximize impact.

What 9001:2015 Means For Our Customers

ISO 9001 certification provides peace of mind for our customers. Strong quality management processes greatly reduce the risk of supply chain issues, which is of huge importance as we source and provide hard-to-find electronic components from around the world.

Have questions? The Component Dynamics team is ready to answer anything about ISO 9001 or other quality management practices we are focused on.
